We need your help this summer! Kent State University, Cuyahoga Valley National Park, and Cleveland Metroparks partnered to build ParkApps, an iOS and Android app to help people navigate the parks and learn about science. We are asking volunteers to download the app and test a few adventure tracks as they hike, bike, and camp in Cuyahoga Valley National Park and in Cleveland Metro Parks. This opportunity is perfect for park volunteers and park visitors, including families. There are three ways you can be a part of this opportunity.
Option 1
1. Download ParkApps NE Ohio on an IOS or Android device(or update to the newest version)
2. Begin by completing the Adventure Track called Before You Begin PreSurvey
3. From now until July 31st, complete the 3 Adventure Tracks:
a. Beaver Marsh
b. Weathering and Water at the Ledges
c. Living Life on the Ledges
d. *Please note there are youth versions for these three Adventure Tracks!
4. Once you're done with those three, please complete the Adventure Track called When You Are Finished PostSurvey.
Option 2
1. Download ParkApps NE Ohio on an IOS or Android device(or update to the newest version)
2. Begin by completing the Adventure Track called Before You Begin PreSurvey
3. From now until July 31st, complete the 3 Adventure Tracks:
a. Beaver Marsh
b. Weathering and Water at the Ledges
c. Living Life on the Ledges
d. *Please note there are youth versions for these three Adventure Tracks!
4. In addition, while you are at the parks, please use the Field Notebook to record observations. and any thoughts you have about nature. You can also take pictures and write about your pictures in the Field Notebook.
5. Once you're done with those three Adventure Tracks and the Field Notebook, please complete the Adventure Track called When You Are Finished PostSurvey.
Option 3
1. Download ParkApps NE Ohio on an IOS or Android device(or update to the newest version)
2. Begin by completing the Citizen Science Pre-Survey
3. From now until July 31st, complete at least two Citizen Science Projects.
4. Once you're done with your Citizen Science Projects please complete the Citizen Science Post-Survey
